Details

Program Structure

This is a 24-credit course program in a specific area that is offered over a period of three years. A candidate who has opted for this has to complete 8 credits in each semester. 

Teaching and Assessment:

During each semester, students’ performance is assessed through Continuous Evaluation (CE) which includes teacher interaction, session examination and a Semester End Examination (SEE). CE and SEE weightages carry equal weightage.

Students are awarded grades based on the marks scored. 

Eligibility

Students wishing to apply to this need to be clear of any backlog in main degree programs. 

Registration

  • Students need to have earned a defined number of credits from the first to fourth semester to register for this program. 
  • Students need to submit prescribed application forms to the admission section of the faculty pay a prescribed fee.
  • Any failure in the prescribed courses of the main degree will be deterrent for further progression in minor.

Certification

  • The minor will be mentioned in the degree certificate. 
  • Successfully completing the minor is an additional qualification and a grade card will be issued, but it is not another degree. 
  • Students needed to be completed before the completion of the main registered degree. 
  • If the minor program is not completed before the award of the main degree, only a grade card will be issued and no mention of the Minor program will be made in the degree certificate.
