    The sheer scope of structural engineering work is so vast. The profession is marked by all kinds of specialists, from experts in seismic design to those who specialize in disaster relief and on all kinds of scale: from small residential building to skyscraper construction. Students enrolled in the course are familiarized with the following areas:

    1. Planning, analysis and design of RCC and steel structures
    2. Analysis and design of precast structural elements
    3. Formwork for RCC structures (Shell, composites, Membrane structures, Bridges and Retrofitting of structures).
    4. Study and development of advanced construction materials.
    5. Finite element analysis of all forms of civil structures using relevant tools.
